Rather than fly we have decided to drive to South Africa in our fondly loved Land Rover.  We have named him Bob after his uncanny resemblance of ‘Sponge Bob Square Pants!’. Follow our adventures through these pages.

The Crew

After sensibly leaving good jobs, Marc and Felicity have quit to head off for adventures through Africa. Whilst travelling down we will be working with volunteer projects, training the staff and helping to set standards at the projects.

The Return Journey

The above is what we wrote before we left the UK.  After reaching S.A. we returned to Malawi where we spent 6 months with a local NGO.

When it was time to return to the UK we were faced with a similar dilemma.  We were in Africa with Bob and all had to get back. That meant either a plane for us and ship for Bob, or drive.  Bob apparently suffers from sea sickness, so we chose the latter, left Malawi at the end of November 2009 and are heading home trough West Arica.
